Function eta between a recursor of a structure that is missing its major premise and a free variable.

Prod.rec (fun b c => a (b, c)) and a are convertible: eta-expanding the former gives fun p => Prod.rec (fun b c => a (b, c)) p, whose body reduces, by structure eta on p, to a (p.1, p.2), and that is convertible to a p. The official kernel eta-expands only when the other side is a lambda, so it rejects this, while it accepts the equation of each side with fun p => a p.

The same issue with a recursor with rule K is corner-cases/eta-rule-k. The official kernel may adopt eta-expansion of such partial recursor applications, see https://github.com/leanprover/lean4/pull/15374 and https://github.com/leanprover/lean4/issues/12520.
